China-origin PP export offers firm as Southeast Asian buying interest stirs after weeks on the sidelines
Chinese homo-PP export offers have climbed sharply as thinning domestic inventories and a firming futures market embolden suppliers, even as Southeast Asian demand has only just begun to show signs of life. Upstream costs are back in play, with naphtha and propylene both extending gains on renewed geopolitical risk, while regional restocking in Vietnam, Indonesia and South Korea has pulled material away from spot circulation and forced at least one producer to cancel previously concluded parcels. Indonesia's aggressive run of domestic price hikes is widening the gap with import parity, hinting that buyers there may soon be pushed back toward the export market.

Indonesia's producer extends upcycle with fresh across-the-board hikes for PP and PE
Indonesia's leading domestic producer has pushed through another sweeping round of price increases, building on a run of consecutive hikes the week before. PP spot offers have already caught up to the new benchmark, though traders expect buying to cool after a week of non-stop purchasing unless regional prices push higher still. PE tells a different story, with HDPE and LLDPE film still trading below official levels, keeping converters topping up supply before that discount window closes. With international sentiment holding firm, the floor under Indonesian polyolefin prices looks unlikely to give way, favouring continued PE strength while PP takes a brief pause.
