A number of other buyers have expressed the buy ideas for deep-seas HDPE and LLDPE film at below the $1100/ton threshold, citing the continuous weakening domestic ground.
Sources said that the local PE market is facing less pressure than PP due to the lack of import arrival, while competitive Chinese material is forcing local suppliers to soften the stance on homo-PP yarn cargoes to attract purchasing interest.
There are limited new offers on the first trading day of the week, however, the local market continues to weaken as a result of the heavy arrival of previously purchased Chinese cargoes.
