Trading activities remain limited during the early trading hours of the week. Buyers are concerned about the COVID-19 conditions in Malaysia and Vietnam, which could put the market under fresh downward pressure.
“In the meantime, local traders continue to offer discounts on deals, undermining the producer’s effort to firm up the prices. At the moment, we do not see any strong support for a rebound,” a market source commented.
