Local PP market in Indonesia continues to climb backed by supply tightness
A major local producer in Indonesia has opened fresh PP and PE offers on the first trading day of the week with large increases on PP cargoes citing the persistently lacking availability condition. Meanwhile, the PE market is rather mixed.

Apparently, many local buyers started to slow down purchases for PP cargoes due to the inability to transfer the higher restock costs to end-product prices. Yet, it does not appear that sellers would concede to discounts at the moment.
“In contrast, we expect the market to remain firm in the coming days. We are not having much materials and the strong sentiment in the international market would provide support for the local ground, too,” a trader added.
