Local PP and PE offers in Indonesia extended the firming trend
An Indonesian producer has reportedly opened new PP and PE offers to the domestic spot market on the first trading day of the week with additional increases on the back of tighter supply condition.

The initial response from buyers here is not as positive as expected, especially from plastics bags manufacturers. In fact, one of the sources said that demand for HDPE bags is severely affected by the recent bans on single used plastics bags in the capital city of Jakarta, and the continuous price hike is eroding the profit margins.
“We find it very difficult to accept the current prices. Our customers are not placing new orders; therefore, we prefer to wait and see on the sideline for now,” said, a converter.
