Local PP and PE offers in Indonesia continue to track the softening trend
A local Indonesian producer has opened a fresh PP and PE price list with an additional reduction from last week, citing the appreciation of the Rupiah against the US dollar.

However, players believed that the reduction is very much caused by the persistently weak demand and accumulating inventories pressure at the producer’s side, given the fact that the price cuts are way more than the exchange rate.
“The market is getting quieter as many buyers started to take off for the Christmas holiday. We think transactions would be very limited this week and clearer trend might emerge at the beginning of January,” a market source said.
