Saudi producer announced PE offers to Southeast Asia with reduction

It is reported that a major Saudi Arabia producer has opened January shipment offers for PE to the Southeast Asia market at stable to slightly softer levels compared to last month. The price list reflects the recent drop in ethylene costs and very much in line with the market expectation.

The latest offers and changes compared to last month’s price list is shown in the following table:  

Vietnamese customers are placing bids at $820/ton for LLDPE film, which is unchanged compared to done-deal levels in the previous month. 

“We are a bit concern since the quantity is limited while other markets, especially China, are fetching higher prices. This might lead to smaller allocation to the Southeast Asia market and curtail the regional availability,” a buyer said.
