CommoPlast | Article - Local producer cuts LLDPE offers significantly in Indonesia

A prominent producer in Indonesia has opened fresh PP and PE offers to the domestic market with more reduction compared to last week. Apparently, LLDPE cargoes witness a rather drastic cut this week, all thanks to the persistently weak demand in the country.

Sources informed that buyers are negotiating to obtain spot LLDPE film below the IDR 12,000,000/ton ($856/ton) threshold though no deals have been reported yet.

“We are in no rush to make fresh replenishment. It appears that sellers are facing tremendous pressure at the moment, hence we might be able to negotiate for more discount moving forward,” a plastic bag manufacturer commented.
