The reduction in HDPE offers underlines the weak demand condition, not only in Indonesia, but also across the Southeast Asia region. Customers have expressed the buy ideas for these cargoes at the low $900/ton levels.
“Meanwhile, supply for homo-PP is a bit tight due to several plant issues in the region, however, we do not think the producer’s new offers could attract sufficient purchasing interest. Local market is more competitive,” a buyer added.
