A Malaysian producer has reportedly opened fresh price list for PP and PE to Indonesia at the stable to softer levels compared to last month despite the recent firming trend in the regional market.

Sources believed that the producer is attempting to maintain a competitive position in the market taking into account the start-up at PrefChem plant.
“We are talking to the supplier to obtain some additional discounts from the price list. It appears that the producer is not very confident about the PE market in spite of the fact that local supply is tightening,” a market source commented.
