It is reported that a major local producer in Indonesia has opened fresh weekly PP and PE offers to the domestic market with additional hike citing the lack of materials.

In fact, there have been reports that the producer would only restart the PP and PE plant this week following debottlenecking work. It might take a few days for the plant to regain the normal operation rate. Meanwhile, another major local producer is mulling over 30 days shutdown at LLDPE plant due to squeezed profit margins.
“Customers are looking for LLDPE film cargoes, but it becomes clear that purchasing sentiment is not as strong as last week. We are waiting for overseas suppliers to open new price list while maintaining a firm stance on the offers,” a local trader commented.
