It is reported that a major Malaysian producer has announced September shipment offers for both PP and PE to Indonesia on 23 August 2019 with $20-40/ton reduction from last month.

Apparently, Indonesian buyers are not responding very positively toward the latest offers citing the fact that local suppliers are selling at much more competitive levels, especially for HDPE film.
“Even for homo-PP cargoes, we think that the price level above the $1100/ton market can no longer attract buyers. The regional market is on the down-trend and demand in Indonesia is particularly soft,” a market source said.
