Taiwanese major lifted PVC September shipment offers to Asia

It is reported that a major Taiwanese producer has announced September shipment offers for PVC to Asia markets with $30/ton hike from last month. Latest price list stands at $880/ton to Southeast Asia and China, and at $900/ton to India, all based on CIF/CFR term. 

While there have been market talks that the producer has quickly sold out the allocation to India market, CommoPlast has not received any confirmation at the time this report is published. 

Meanwhile, sources informed that the producer is having limited quantity given the up-coming shutdown in September.

“The increase is larger than the initial expectation, which is driven primarily by the supply issues. While demand in India is improving, sentiment in Southeast Asia is rather sluggish. We are waiting for customers to place bids now,” a distributor offering on behalf of the producer to Southeast Asia market said.
