A major Saudi Arabia producer has announced August shipment offers for HDPE and LLDPE film to Vietnam and Indonesia with $10/ton increased from last month, citing the lack of availability.

Sources informed that LLDPE film supply from the producer is rather limited while showing a reluctant stance toward the HDPE film cargoes citing the availability of competitive USA origin materials.
“With softer demand in China, we think the supplier might be more willing to negotiate prices this time despite the firming upstream ethylene costs. USA materials remain quite comfortable in the market,” a buyer commented.
