A major Malaysian producer has announced July shipment offers for both PP and PE to Indonesia on the final trading day of the week with drastic reduction from last month.

Buyers have not shown aggressive stance in making purchases despite the firming regional market. Several buyers have expressed the buy ideas for HDPE film in the range $1000-1010/ton CIF Indonesia, LC AS term.
“The domestic PE market remains soft despite the up-coming shutdown at one of the local plants. We expect international suppliers to step back on prices to attract buying interest here. Meanwhile, discount of homo-PP might be small given the upward movement across the region,” a buyer commented.
