Another Saudi Arabia producer announced June PP, PE offers to Vietnam

It is reported that another Saudi Arabia producer has announced June shipment offers for both PP and PE to Vietnam. The latest price list underlines the weakness in the LLDPE film market, which reflects in the large price reduction for this grade.

The latest price list and changes compared to last month are shown in the following table:

Apparently, Vietnamese buyers are not very aggressive to place bids in anticipation of bearish outlook in the coming week. In fact, some buyers have expressed the acceptance levels for LLDPE film in the range $980-990/ton CIF Vietnam, LC AS, but remain cautious to monitor further development.

“Some other distributors decided to open prices at lower levels compared to the official list given the sluggish demand condition. We are a bit concern on the market condition,” a distributor said. 

There is very limited quantity for BOPP and HDPE blow moulding.
