Another Saudi maker opens June shipment PP, PE offers to SEA
Another Saudi Arabia producer has announced June shipment offers for both PP and PE to the Southeast Asia market with moderate to large reduction from last month.

While the market is on the downtrend, it appears that the producer is not willing to accept bids for LLDPE film at below the $1000/ton threshold citing that market prospect is Q3 of the year is rather positive. However, buyers are showing stiff resistance fearing that the recent plunge in the nearby China market might soon spread to Southeast Asia.
“We prefer to be cautious. Sentiment across the region is very sluggish while June outlook is not very positive at the moment. We are asking for $20-30/ton discount,” a regional buyer reported.
