Another Saudi Arabia producer announced May PP, PE offers to Vietnam
It is reported that another major Saudi Arabia producer has announced fresh PP and PE offers for May delivery to Vietnam at increases from last month. Limited supply condition and firming regional market are the main support for the higher prices decision, sources said.

The producer did not open any official offers for HDPE cargoes citing the lack of availability while LLDPE film allocation is also very limited as one of the production lines was forced to shut down for three weeks due to an unspecified technical issue.
Vietnamese buyers perceived the latest homo-PP offers as reasonable and bids emerged at $1170/ton with the same term. Meanwhile, the response toward the LLDPE film price is not as positive.
“This price is too high, even compared to the local market. The producer has not been able to allocate the regular quantity of PE to Vietnam in recent months, which could gradually become an issue here,” a buyer said.
