It is reported that a major Saudi Arabia producer has announced May shipment offers for PE to Vietnam and Indonesia with increases from last month, citing the lack of supply pressure.

A couple of Vietnamese buyers are planning to place bids for LLDPE film at the range $1030-1040/ton depending on the grade citing the weakness in this market. However, the initial impression from the supplier suggests that there might be only $10/ton discount on deals due to the lack of inventories pressure.
“The market in the upswing. Other Middle Eastern suppliers have already concluded deals at $1050/ton for LLDPE film, and therefore, we are looking at this level at the moment,” a distributor said.
