Taiwanese major slashed April PVC offers to Asia market

A major Taiwanese producer has slashed April shipment offers for PVC to Asia on the back of sluggish demand condition across the region. Latest price list sees $60/ton lower to India to $890/ton and $50/ton drop to China and Southeast Asia to $850/ton, all based on CIF/CFR, LC AS term.

Apparently, Indian buyers have accepted the latest prices and started being more active in making replenishment. “Customers have returned. We hope this is the cyclical bottom of the market,” an Indian trader commented. 

Meanwhile, buyers in Southeast Asian have not shown much response yet, however, several have expressed the intention to negotiate for a small discount to make new purchases.
