Statistics: Import PP, PE to China in January recovered from the previous dip
The latest data from the Chinese Custom Department showed healthy growth in import PP and PE arrival to the country in the month of January 2019. Except for homo-PP, most other grades saw two digits growth, and HDPE and LLDPE remain the dominants in the market.

Year-on-year basis, import LLDPE arrival in January 2019 jumped significantly while other cargoes are rather mixed. Market expect this trend to continue as the lack of recycled materials pushes customers to seek prime cargoes as replacement.
