Taiwanese producer rollover PVC offers for March shipment to Asia

It is reported that a major Taiwanese producer has announced March shipment offers for PVC at unchanged levels from last month. The price list stand at $900/ton to Southeast Asia and China and at $950/ton to India, all based on CIF/CFR, LC AS term.

Sources close to the producer informed that supply is rather limited due to the upcoming maintenance shutdown at one of the PVC line in April while a VCM line would be shut in March. And yet the price decision surprises many market players, who have been expecting a minor hike given the strong cost-push.

“This is because demand in China is weak after the long Lunar New Year holiday. We think sales to India should be regular and higher prices are very much expected for April shipment,” a market source added.
