A major domestic producer has announced a fresh price list for PP and PE with an additional reduction from last week as a result of strengthening Indonesian Rupiah against the US dollar while demand is rather soft.

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

Indonesian players are generally conservative about the near to medium term outlook, claiming that the uncertainties associated with the general election taking place on 17 April are casting a shadow on the market and might cap any possibility of a drastic price hike.

“Traders are selling at well below the price list. We might source some quantity in the distribution market if needed,” a buyer added.
