Taiwanese major lifted February PVC offers to Asia market

It is reported that a major Taiwanese producer has announced fresh PVC offers to Asia market with $20/ton hike month-on-month. The latest price list stands at $950/ton to India, $900/ton for Southeast Asia and China, all based on CIF/CFR term. Export price is at $870/ton FOB Taiwan.

The increase is much in line with market’s expectation, judging from the firm upstream costs and bright demand prospect in India. However, Southeast Asian buyers have not immediately expressed positive response toward the latest offers.

“Allocation is smaller than usual due to the upcoming Lunar New Year. We hope not only Indian buyers but also Chinese buyers would make replenishment before the holiday,” an international distributor commented.
