Local producer opens first price list of the year with reductions in Indonesia

Indonesian buyers reportedly received the first price list of the year from a major local maker at a large reduction for most PE grades while there are some downward adjustments for PP due to the strengthening Rupiah against the US dollar.

Sources said that the IDR660,000/ton ($47/ton) plunge in HDPE and LLDPE film prices reflect the actual market condition, where supply exceeds demand. “Distributors are selling at well below the price list levels. Market is not very active yet,” a trader said.
