PetroRabigh postpones maintenance shutdown at HDPE line

Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company is planning to take its 300,000 tons per annum HDPE line in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia for a routine maintenance during January 2019. The unit is expected to remain offline for about three weeks.

The company initially planned to conduct the maintenance work in December but decided to postpone to January.

As reported earlier, the company was forced to shut one of the PP lines that produce BOPP and homo-PP yarn in the same complex in early October due to a major mechanical issue. The unit might be able to restart in January after the replacement of the spare part.
