Saudi maker cuts January PE offers to Southeast Asia

It is reported that a major Saudi Arabia producer has announced new offers to Southeast Asia market with large reduction on HDPE film from last month while there is only $10/ton drop in LLDPE film cargoes.

Vietnamese buyers have expressed the buy idea for LLDPE film at $30-40/ton lower than the initial price list while the interest for HDPE film is rather low. “For those whom have not open Letter of Credit for last month’s cargoes, we plan to suspend new orders this month,” a distributor commented.
More producers might open new prices within this week, and many buyers are waiting on the sideline before placing bids.
