Market sources reported that Lotte Chemical has unexpectedly shut its cracker yesterday due to power outage issue.
Based in Yeosu, South Korea, the cracker is able to produce 1.2 million tons/year of ethylene and 640,000 tons/year of propylene. The restart schedule could not be ascertained.
