India’s IOCL to startup new PP plant soon

Market sources reported that Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) is planning to commission its new PP plant by end of December 2018.

Based in Paradip, India, the new PP plant has a production capacity of 680,000 tons/year. The plant will implement Spheripol Technology from Basell, Italy, and will be producing homo grade during the beginning stage. It is expected to have commercial production by January 2019.

In addition, there are two other projects which have been included for the petrochemical complex which consists of a 1.2 million tons/year of PTA plant and a petcoke gasification-based synthetic ethanol plant, which are going to be commissioned by September 2021.
