South Korea's Hyosung to shut PDH unit for maintenance

According to market sources, Hyosung Corporation has reduced the production rate of its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit to 60% due to technical issues and planning to shut for maintenance by this weekend or beginning of next week.

Based in Ulsan, South Korea, the PDH plant has a production capacity of 300,000 ton/year. It is expected to remain off-stream for 30-35 days and a source closed to the company informed that the allocation of cargoes for May contract will be affected due to this shutdown.
