Thailand maker slashes PE offers to China, deals achieved with additional cuts

A major Thailand producer reportedly slashes new PE offers to China this week by $40/ton for HDPE and $30/ton for LLDPE and LDPE film. The development is much in line with the market movement here given the persistently slow purchasing interest. 

The producer’s price list is shown in the following table:

Sources informed that deals for these cargoes have been achieved at $1180-1185/ton for HDPE and at $1050/ton for LDPE film. “Buyers are not aggressive. Most of them only purchased a small quantity in anticipation of further reduction ahead. The sentiment is heavy here,” a source close to the producer added.
