Emergency shutdown at China's Zhongtian PP, LDPE plants

According to market sources, Zhongtian Hechuang Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut one of its LDPE and PP plants today due to electricity supply issue as a result of boiler failure.

Based in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, China, the emergency breakdown of plants involved 350,000 tons/year PP (loop method) plant and 250,000 tons/year LDPE (tubular method) plant. Meanwhile, its another 350，000 tons/year PP (gas phase method) plant is operating as usual, while its 120,000 tons/year LDPE (kettle method) which has been shut since 4 November 2018 has successfully restarted by today.
