Uzbekistan's Uz-Kor restarted HDPE, PP unit after maintenance

According to market sources, Uz-Kor Gas, a 50-50 joint venture between Lotte Chemical Corp and Uzbekneftegaz has restarted the production of its HDPE and PP plant by end of last week after turnaround.

Based in Surgil, Uzbekistan, the complex is able to produce 390,000 tons/year of HDPE and 80,000 tons/year of PP. As reported earlier, both plants have been shut since 3 October for a planned maintenance, however the HDPE and PP plant have restarted on 1 and 2 November respectively, which is a week delayed from initial plan on 27 October due to unexpected technical problem.
