Local PVC producer cuts November offers in Indonesia

A major local producer in Indonesia reportedly announced November delivery offers for PVC to domestic buyers with $20/ton reduction month on month to $870-940/ton FD Indonesia, cash equivalent. 

Demand from the pipe sector in Indonesia remains healthy in the recent weeks while the producer is facing some issues in fulfilling all purchases inquiries. “We are getting some quantities from the import market at the moment, however, the recent downtrend has not resulted in better margins for us given the depreciation in the local currency,” a trader added.

Overseas sellers might soon announce December shipment offers in the coming week, and the initial expectation calls for stable prices from November.
