Another Saudi maker open new PP, PE offers to Southeast Asia market

Another Saudi Arabia maker has reportedly opened fresh PP and PE offers to Southeast Asia market. The latest offers see some reductions on PE cargoes, following the general trend, however, the producer decided to lift PP prices given the tightened supply condition.

The producer’s latest price list is shown in the following table:

“Allocation for this month is very small due to the production issues at both of our PP and PE plants. We might not be having any homo-PP cargoes until end of the year,” a source close to the producer informed. 

In the meantime, Southeast Asia buyers are complaining that the new price list is a little too high compared to the current market level. “We expect HDPE film cargoes to conclude at below the $1250/ton threshold. At the moment, we are waiting for the producer’s feedback,” a regional buyer added.
