Another Saudi producer announced November PP, PE offers to Vietnam

It is reported that another major Saudi Arabia producer has announced November shipment offers for PP and PE to Vietnam with $10-20/ton reduction from last month.

The producer’s latest price list is shown in the following table:

Due to a major technical issue at one of the PP line that produces homo-PP and BOPP, the producer is not having any allocation this month. It is expected that the unit might only restart by the beginning of December 2018, signaling the absence of the supplier in the homo-PP market in the next couple of months.

“In the meantime, we expect deals for HDPE film to be below the $1250/ton threshold while LLDPE might see $10-20/ton reduction. Availability for these grades are much smaller than usual,” a Vietnamese buyer added.
