Malaysia's Lotte Chemical Titan inaugurates PP3 plant

Lotte Chemical Titan Malaysia holds a ceremony at its petrochemical site in Pasir Gudang, Johor today to inaugurate the number 3 PP plant (PP3). 

The new unit with the designated capacity of 200,000 tons/year commenced commercial production on 1 September 2018, after 18 months of construction work. The start-up of this unit boosts Lotte Chemical Titan’s total PP capacity to 640,000 tons/year.

“The additional 200,000 tons/year production capacity generated by the PP3 plant will improve efficiencies and competitiveness,” President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lee Dong Woo said in his speech during the inauguration.

Mr Lee also reveals the expansion plan of the company in Indonesia and the USA, including the 1 million ton/year naphtha cracker in Cilegon, Indonesia that is expected to come online by 2023.
