According to market sources, Asahi Kasei Chemicals is planning to shut its cracker for a scheduled maintenance by May-June period next year.
Based in Mizushima, Japan, the cracker is able to producer 570,000 tons/year of ethylene. The exact duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.
