As expected, Taiwanese major slashed PVC offers drastically to India

A major Taiwanese producer reportedly slashed October shipment offers for PVC by $60/ton from last month to India market, sending the latest price list to $940/ton CIF, LC AS term. Buyers in Southeast Asia and China have not received the new offers.

The reduction is much in-line with players’ initial expectation as the steep depreciation of the Indian Rupee coupled with the monsoon season has decelerated purchasing activities in Asia’s largest PVC importing market. 

“Sales shall be smoother at the adjusted price. We hope to obtain an additional discount on deals,” an Indian buyer added.
