The USA government on 17 September 2018 announced the implementation date and rate for the third round of tariffs on more than 5000 products import from China.

It is set that 10 percent of tariff will be imposed on about USD 200 billion in Chinese goods starting 24 September 2018. The government is giving US businesses time to seek the new source of supply before lifting the rate to 25 percent by 2019.

About 300 products have been withdrawn from the initial list including high-tech product such as smart watches and Bluetooth devices and bicycle helmets, high chairs, children’s car seats, playpens, and certain industrial chemicals.

The USA also threaten to immediately introduce the fourth round of tariffs that worth USD 267 billion would China retaliate on the latest round of tariffs.
