Coal shortage forced China's Zhongtian Hechuang to shut PP, LDPE plants

Market sources reported that Zhongtian Hechuang Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut its LDPE and PP plant due to shortage of supply from upstream as a result of environmental issue which caused the coal mining activities forced to be stopped.

Based in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, China, the plants which being shut involved 120,000 tosn/year of LDPE (Kettle Method) and 350,000 tons/year PP (Loop Method) plants. Both plants are expected to remain off-stream for at least 7 days.
