Saudi Aramco to ship first crude cargo to Malaysia's RAPID in October

Saudi Aramco plans to deliver the first crude oil shipment to the joint venture in Malaysia in October 2018, as the company prepare its trial run at the newly constructed refinery, according to the media reports.
The joint venture project, Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) represents the partnership between Saudi Aramco and Malaysia’s Petronas that cost more than USD27 billion.
The refinery is scheduled to come online by the beginning of 2019 with a designated capacity of 300,000 barrels per day and the downstream petrochemical operations to follow six to 12 months afterwards.
