Thailand PE offers remain largely unchanged in China; market resistance gets strong

Chinese buyers reported receiving fresh PE offers from a major Thailand producer at mostly unchanged levels from last week, though buying interest is declining as buyers seeking more competitive origins.

The following table showed the producer’s latest offers and week-on-week changes.

There have been reports that supply for LLDPE film from the maker is normalising, from which buyers are showing poor acceptance level for the latest offers. “In the meantime, Taiwanese HDPE cargoes are available at $35/ton lower. It is natural that we go to more competitive origin,” a buyer added.
