More Saudi maker lifted September PP, PE offers to Vietnam

Another major Saudi Arabia producer has announced September shipment offers to Vietnam mostly at firmer levels compared to last month, except for LDPE lamination grade that drop $10/ton.

The latest price list and month on month changes are shown in the following table:

Buyers are not responding very positively towards the latest price list while asking for $20/ton discount on LLDPE film and $30-40/ton on HDPE film. “This is because these cargoes will be arriving at the same time as those low costs USA material, making challenging to compete in the local ground. We are very concern,” a buyer commented.

Meanwhile, PP buyers are placing bids at $1240-1250/ton and the suppliers might only revert on the final price decision after the National Day holiday next week.
