Taiwanese major lifted PVC offers to India, rollover in other market

It is reported that a major Taiwanese producer has announced September shipment offers for PVC to India at $10/ton increased from last month to $1000/ton, CIF India, LC AS term. Meanwhile, the maker maintains prices unchanged to Southeast Asia and China at unchanged levels of $960/ton CIF/CFR term.

Volume discount of $10/ton for quantity 500 tons and above is only available in India market. This scheme is not provided in Southeast Asia and China, sources said.   

This is in line with the initial market expectation considering the soft demand condition in India amid the monsoon season. “We are discussing with the supplier for some discount to compensate the steep depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the US dollar. In the meantime, we were informed that allocation is lower this time due to the plant maintenance,” in Indian buyer reported.
