China Morning Snapshot - 20 August 2018

Dalian Commodity Exchange poses comparatively weak trend throughout the morning session. Details on the spot and futures prices are shown in the following table:

Total inventories at Sinopec and CNPC’s warehouses piled up 80,000 tons from last Friday at 810,000 tons as on 20 August 2018.

Trading activities were slow this morning affected by the weak futures market sentiment, whereby buyers are mostly on the wait and see stance. Meanwhile, some traders informed that they managed to conclude some PP with slight discounts, however mere no deals achieved for PE. Players are voicing concern whether the upcoming picking up of demand will be reaching expectation or not.
