Heavy maintenance shutdown to keep local PP, PE supply tight in China

Domestic supply for PP and PE in China is expected to remain tight throughout August and first half of September due to heavy maintenance shutdown schedule during this period.

Constraint supply condition has been supporting local market over the past couple of weeks, however, many converters, especially in the PP sectors are facing difficulties in transferring higher raw material costs to end product, resulted in slower demand.
