Local PP, PE offers in Indonesia hold mostly unchanged week on week

Indonesian buyers in the first trading day of the week reported receiving fresh offers for PP and PE from a major local producer at mostly unchanged levels from the previous week. However, most sources are hoping to see a fresh round of forward selling, especially for homo-PP, at larger than usual discounts.

The earthquake that hit the city of Lombok and Bali has not generated any major impact on the resin businesses, sources said, considering the minor number of converters in these areas. “However, demand for end product might see some downside. We are monitoring further development and feedback from buyers before making any adjustment in term of prices,” a trader informed.
