Thai PE remains on the stable to softer track in China

A major Thailand producer reportedly maintained new PE offers to China on the stable to softer track as purchasing interest in the country sees little improvement after the Dragon Boat Festival. Latest price list sees $5/ton reduction on HDPE and LLDPE film from last week while other grades hold steady.

The initial response from the market is not strong as buyers are taking time to update the market situation before making the decision. “We do anticipate additional discount to emerge considering the state of demand before the holiday,” a buyer commented.
