Local PP, PE in Indonesia remains on stable to firmer track ahead of Ramadan

A major Indonesian producer announced fresh weekly PP and PE offers to local buyers with only IDR 140,000ton ($10/ton) increased on LLDPE cargoes while other grades remain stable.  

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

Purchasing interest in local Indonesia remains healthy, especially for LLDPE film, as buyers rush last minute replenishment before going off for the long Ramadan holidays. “Both major local producers are shutting down, which might affect the LLDPE availability in the post-holiday term. Our sales results are satisfactory on the first trading day of the week,” a trader informed.
